A History of Innovation
ACCO Brands Corporation is a new company,
but our roots stretch back more than a century.
Over the years, our businesses have consistently
been guided by a spirit of innovation and a
commitment to delivering superior, cutting-edge
products for our customers. This has enabled us
to flourish and grow in a continually evolving
office products environment.
ACCO's businesses got their start with the
founding of Wilson Jones in 1893, the American
Clip Company (ACCO) in 1903, and the
Swingline Company in 1925. These were
among the first companies to revolutionize
the basic ways in which we record, store
and organize information in offices,
schools and workspaces through the
creation of the ring binder, the mass
production of the paper clip, and
the widespread popularization
of staplers.
